ART WORKS Kelly created art for the family
room,
below,
by stretching a dandelion-
print fabric on fabric stretchers from an art
store. Total cost: about $150. Slipcovers
and an armoire that holds stacks of games
make the room child-friendly.
DOUBLE DUTY The kitchen overlooks the
adjoining dining-play room,
opposite and
right.
“I mulled about how to use this big
dining room for a bit, and breaking it up
into two purposes actually makes it feel
cozier,” Kelly says. ‘The boys are in there all
the time. Charlie and George,
right,
keep
toys nearby in a wood chest.
